The Kilmore Quay Seafood Festival - 16th to 19th July

Over twenty years in existance, Kilmore Quay Seafood Festival is one of the highlight events in County Wexford. Held in July, this four day festival has an emphasis on seafood combined with a full program of entertainment for all the family.

Monday 13th to Thursday 16th- 10am daily
Children's Workshop - Art, Drama, Story-making, Street Theatre.
"An-t-Oilean (The Island) - A huge unknown bird lands on an island - time to investigate!"

Thursday 16th
12:30am to 7:00pm - Seafood Platters - Served daily in the Stella Maris Centere. Delicious and fantastic value.
8:00pm - Festival Parade - From the Hotel Saltees. Promises to inclue plenty of colour, Street Theatre and Music.
8:30pm - Official Opening of the Festival - With Special Guests followed by Music with Lorraine Rankin.
9:00pm - Community Hospitality Evening - In the Stella Maris Centere. Refreshments served followed by Music with Dermot Kelly and Marty Kinsella. Everyone welcome - Admission is free.
9:15pm - Seafood Platter Competition - Chef Jim Ahern of Kelly's Resort Hotel will judge this year's entries from the local Restaurants and Pubs. Come and see these wonderful delicious creations.
9:30pm - Music with D.J. Matty in Hotel Saltees.
Friday 17th
10am to 1pm - Children's Art Workshop: Beach Bugs - Come along to the Stella Maris Centere and join in the festival fun to create strange and unique beach bugs out of materials found which include driftwood, shells and pebbles. 10:30am to 4:30pm - Irish Fishermen and their Catch - Presented by Ricky Hogan, Wexford Local Development. Visit the stand during the day at the top of the Pier, which will have a display of fresh fish landed and caught off the Irish Coast. Ricky will give a number of information talks on "the life of a fisherman" and the types of fish on display. Tasting will be available weather permitting.
12:30am to 7:30pm - Seafood Platters - Served daily in the Stella Maris Centere. Delicious and fantastic value.
7:00pm - Children's Arts Exhibition - Official opening with Cheese and Wine in the Stella Maris Centere upstairs in the Loft. This exhibition gives you the opportunity to admire and/or buy some beautiful pieces of Art that have been created by a wealth of local talented artists. The diverse mediums on display will include - Ceramics, Paintings, Printmaking, Stone Sculptures andWeaving. Also presenting daily - Documentaries and Information on "The Transition Town Movement". Helping Communities move forward sustainability.
9:15pm - Wexford Camera Club Photo Exhibition - "People in their Enviournment" . This Years exhibition marks the club's 25th Anniversary and this larger collection of photos will be on display daily. Tony Tang will open and judge the exhibition. Everyone is most welcome.
9:30pm - Music with "Hot Ashphalt" in the Hotel Saltees.
10:00pm - Music with "West of Eden" in Kehoe's Pub and Parlour.
Saturday 18th
10:30am daily - Festival Arts Exhibition and "The Transition Town Movement - In the Stella Maris Centere.
12:30pm to 7:30pm - Seafood Platters - Served Daily in the Stella Maris Centere.
2:00pm - Open Air Stalls - On the Pier.
3:00pm to 5:00pm - Children's Fun Day - On the Beach. Come and join in all the fun and games on the little beach - Free.
6:30pm - Open Road Race - 5km circuit - €2,000 prize fund. €10 per person. All Welcome. Presentation and Refreshments in the Stella Maris Centere immediately after the race. All enquires and entries to Paddy on +353 87 9273545.
7:30pm - Talk on Ballyteigue Burrow - With Jim Hurley in the Stella Maris Centere. Cheese and Wine served. Admission Free.
9:30pm - Music with "Footloose" in Hotel Saltees.
10:00pm - Music with "Johnny Byrne and Co" in Kehoe's Pub and Parlour.
Sunday 19th
10:30am daily - Festival Arts Exhibition and "The Transition Town Movement - In the Stella Maris Centere.
12:30pm to 7:30pm - Seafood Platters - Served Daily in the Stella Maris Centere.
2:00pm - Harbour Fair - With open-air stalls on the Pier. Seafood Cocktails and Rolls available on the Marina.
3:00pm - Raft Race - 10th Annual Cathy Bates Memorial Race. €1,000 cash prize, plus many more prizes.
3:30pm - Ceili Mor - Dancing at the Cross Roads with Fear an Ti - Sean O'Dubhghaill. Music - Waterford Ceili Band.
5:00pm - Music with "Innuendo" in Hotel Saltees.
7:00pm - Music with D.J. Matty in the bar in Hotel Saltees
8:00pm - Festival Bingo - In the Stella Maris Centere.
9:00pm - Raft Race Prize Giving - In Kehoe's Pub and Parlour. Always a great night with plenty of fun. Followed by Music with "Shane & Joe".

Summer Art Camp - 20th to 22nd July: 10am to 1pm Daily - Our fun filled art camp offers children aged 4yrs-12yrs an exiting portfolio of summer art activities, which include painting, felting, construction, modeling, and lots more fun and games. €55 each.
